How to Refund a Purchase on the Oculus Store

Accidentally bought an awful game or app? Here's how to get your cash back on an Oculus Store title.

The Oculus Store is full of exciting games and apps that offer interesting virtual reality experiences. Unfortunately, sometimes a purchase might dissatisfy you.

If this happens, you can refund an app that you've purchased on the Oculus Store. However, certain conditions have to be met. Here's what you need to know.

How to Refund an App on the Oculus Store

To request a refund for something you've purchased on the Oculus Store, you should use the companion Oculus app on your phone, no matter which Oculus headset you have.

Open the Oculus app.
Tap your profile picture in the top-right.
Tap Purchase History.
Find what you want to refund, then tap the three vertical dots.
Tap Request refund.
Follow the instructions and include a reason you want the refund.

After you've submitted it, the Oculus team will review your refund. This typically takes five days. However, note that you immediately lose access to the app after requesting a refund.

If the Oculus team grants a refund, the money will return to your original payment method, which may take up to two weeks.

If it declines the refund, you will regain access to the app.

What Are the Oculus Store Refund Conditions?

To request a refund on a purchase in the Oculus Store, you must do so within 14 days of purchase and have used the app for less than two hours.

The Oculus store rarely grants refunds granted on subscriptions, films, bundles, or content purchased in-app.

However, even if you don't qualify for a refund under these terms, it may still grant you one. This also applies if the app is faulty or not as advertised. For this, you will need to contact Oculus Support, rather than using the instructions above.
